I usually like to go with the line, "you get what you pay for," when buying car parts.

well in this case, it wouldn't be a car part indirectly
it is just there to help monitor pressure.

any guru's out there that stick to a certain gauge that has been tested to work?

I ran a cheap *** faze boost gauge in my last boosted set up, I like it alot. I didn't leak always lit up and gave me correct vac and boost readings day in and day out. Or you can take turbof22's advice and try to find a used Autometer.

I run Autometer. I paid $42 new and it is boost and vac up to 20 psi. It's a pro comp I think and it is nice. I have always used Autometer and never had an issue. I would run Faze if I had to or just rock some gauges from GloShift. They seem to be decent and at least look good.

I use the cheap "Type R" boost gauge in my old setup and works very accurate, reads vac and boost

i kinda want boost AND vac, but boost alone would be ok, i would only need something up to 10PSI for the time being, i wont be pushing the limits just yet, but i was thinking of a used autolite.

im going to check out harbor freight, they are a reputable place.
