Teg,

The black looks nice I might paint mine somewhat soon too....

As for the welds they could be better but I'm sure they are stong enough. The only thing is are they sealed...which I doubt from looking at the pictures. If you have some boost leaks thats where I'd guess they are from.

Otherwise good job, the welds will get better with practice.

yeah, that was my first time welding, the first weld is fat and chunky, and they get better/smaller down the line as i got more practice. they are sealed though, that was a concern i had, so i took them to the car wash and plugged the end and sprayed the pressure washer in them, needed to clean them out anyways

yeah, without gas, shielded wire. the pics don't do much justice to my last weld that i did. i did it in one pass, but i would have to stop b/c the pipes were laying on the ground and you can only go around so far so i would have to stop, reposition the pipe, start over again and get a build up every time i had to restart.

instead of grinding the pipes you should have grinded the welds :P. thats not so bad since your just using a wire fed with no gas. maybe its puddling up like that because your speed is too high maybe??. i dont know. but the black paint did wonders. atleast u can say u welded up everything and most of the fab was done by yourself. so when are u gonna finish?
