CenterForce Dual Friction VS Clutch Specialties
I have a turbo sohc vtec setup and I need a new clutch. I plan to put down 210-220whp once I get the clutch in and get tuned. I was planning on getting the Dual Friction but recently I found out about Clutch Specialties. I was wondering if any of you guys have heard of this clutch and how you guys feel about it. I am not even sure what kind of clutches they make so if anyone can tell me what Clutch Specialties clutch they reccomend, estimated power it will hold, and the price.

After seeing the Dual Friction in action, I'm not impressed. I wouldn't waste my money on that clutch. I expected some serius grab out of a clutch named "Dual friction" but it's just not that badass.

Act XT/SS is another good choice
I put a centerforce setup in a dsm once and it the pressure plate spring broke... maybe it was just a fluke, but i'd never recommend them again.
Clutch specialities is pretty good, only used their D-series on one setup, and I thought the pressure plate was a touch on the weak side. However Me, Beau and Leia all run their Duel diaphram pressure plate on our B/H series setups, they work excellent.

I had a Centerforce clutch in my car and the Throw out bearing broke 2 months after beeing installed..
And before it ate ---- 3 months ago it was making a ---- load of noise in neutral ( all the springs on the disc were loose)
IN my opinion they arent worth whatever the hell they cost... just get one from MIKE CRX88 or whatever his SN is....

i currently have 3 friends running dual friction clutches
one dyno'd at 188whp, another at 205whp and last at 218whp
so if i were to go with the clutch specialties which one would i go for
i dont know much about clutch specialties and i searched on the web but thier website is somewhat plain
can someone suggest one for me please ??

centerfore doesn't make there own pressure plates they just put wieghts on a luc or sachs or watever. They are stock plates painted orange. I do belive they make there own discs though.O and they dont make through out bearings :P

You can get a sprung or unsprung 6 puck. The sprung is supposed to have a smoother engaugement, but from the members opinions here, the sprung and unsprung seem to be the same. I had one on my D-series with 235hp/222tq and I never even thought about the clutch failing. It grabs like a ****.
The only complaint that anyone has ever had is that there is a slight vibration when trying to ease from a stop to go. With these clutches it has less of a "middle ground" of on or off than a stock clutch.
A stock clutch you can ease it out and the car slowly moves forward and you can get rolling a pretty good speed before letting out the clutch completely. With these clutches, you will have that half clutch work just like a stock one, but once you hit about 5mph, if you still have the clutch half way out the car will vibrate. That's the only thing that you will notice with this clutch vs. a stock one. And the fact that it will take pretty much anything that you can throw at it and laugh. Price vs. what you get you won't find anything better. 88turbocrx sells them.
