yea cause i just got a ticket last week on the way home from indiana with my new civic, 22 over. mf cop took 6 points, and im going to court and pleading not guilty. hahah my mom is a good at beating round the bush. But i was on the way home from my buddies and i thought he was behind me, and we always shake the steering wheel. well it was some grandpa writning my plate down.

the only way you would beable to get in trouble without the cop actually seeing you would be for you to be an idiotand admit to it. They cant just go off what someone says, ---- if that was the case and someone got me into ---- by reporting my plate number i would say they rape 2 year old boys or something.

You cant go giving off tickets if you dont have the evidence...a neighbour calling the cops becaue he "thought" you were driving fast does not do justice.

Cop "I was told you were speeding, your neighbour called it in and I'm giving you a ticket"

A "citizens arrest" is the physical detainment of a person who has commited a crime in your presence, or a felony not in your presence. (varies from state to state)

You cannot simply report someone and have an officer issue a citation.

If there was a video camera present there may be a long-shot that you get in trouble, but I doubt it. Even crimes comitted in the presence of one officer cannot be written up by another. The cop that sees it has to perform the arrest if it is not a felony.
