Default Camber woes

I refuse to pay so much money to get my camber back to a tolerable degree. I have my 93 civic hatch lowered approximately 2.5 inches. My question is...

I have a die grinder and a steady hand. can i simply slot the two mount holes for the upper control arm in the strut tower and get some adjustability safely?
