I now live in a small hick town, and the next "big town" is still a little racist. But that's where the chain restaurant are.
I went to an applebees the other day. The hostees asked us how many we where. and proceeded to sit us down.
All of the Black customers where seated on the left side of the building, and all of the white customers where on the right side, divided by the bar.
It was the weirdest but most blatant effort by the hostest to separate people. Either to prevent an argument or maybe the manager is weird.......
White people stare also, unless they are afraid, they look down, cross the road and use the other sidewalk..

BD, you mean white people stare at you when you're with you're white girlfriend on a golf course. lol. (who would have guessed) 
I don't think that's all that weird. I actually would like it better. If you look at mcdonalds or anywhere where people seat themselves, you'll see the same type of arrangements. If you go to a hip hop club you will find a couple white people there (usually in denial) 
and if you go to a country ho down, you may find 1 or 2 black cowboys (I've seen them 
) Some blacks would call the black cowboy a sellout, and I would probably consider a white person at a black club a wigger. It's just the way it is.
It's not that they're telling you you have to hate the people you aren't sitting with, it's just that most people (except the wiggers and black cowboys) feel more comfortable around their own kind. (OH MY GOD, DID I SAY THAT)
Don't be offended if a resturant trys to make you comfortable. They're just being real.

and if you go to a country ho down, you may find 1 or 2 black cowboys (I've seen them ) Some blacks would call the black cowboy a sellout, and I would probably consider a white person at a black club a wigger. Eh. When I hang out with some of the punk rawk! kids I usually get to hear Cowboy Troy.

The cultural level of America can't be judged from Podunk, North Carolina. Not that we all claim one culture anyway. I'm not much into punk rawk or cowboy troy, so I don't know what that's all about.
