My view is if anything alot of domestic owners will switch over to the smaller 4 cylinder builds. If any of them get involved with the right people the will see that slapping together 11-12 sec street hondas that get 30 mpg are pretty damn easy and cheap
If anything the area of muscle cars is what is going to be dead.
30 mpg and 5 dollar gas people will still mess with there ----. Look at the guys in europe its just adjustment of lifestyle. No more road trips no more driving around just to drive. Doing everything in one trip.

Re: california's labor law for supplying own tools
Figured i give u guys a update on this situation. I am no longer a lube tech. I have been what they call a "GCA" tech for about a month. GCA stands for guaranteed credit approval. Im basically a used car tech for the shitty cars they sell at the dealership. Anyways...
They still have not given me a raise. Im at 10$ a hour STILL for being a full on used car tech. ------- BULLSHIT! But today i found what i had been looking for in the california state labor laws.
Here it is. Keep in mind i provide all my own tools (im paying off just my toolbox for the next 3 years lol)
in Section 9 uniforms and equitment i found this http://www.dir.ca.gov/IWC/IWCArticle9.pdf
(B) When tools or equipment are required by the employer or are necessary to the performance of a job, such tools and equipment
shall be provided and maintained by the employer, except that an employee whose wages are at least two (2) times the minimum
wage provided herein may be required to provide and maintain hand tools and equipment customarily required by the trade or craft.
This subsection (B) shall not apply to apprentices regularly indentured under the State Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
basically it says if u provide your own tools u have to be paid double mininum wage (16$hourly or flatrate)
So this is my problem. I flag a good amount of hours and i know this is why they want to keep me hourly for my position. Should i throw this ---- in there face or what? Are dealership is really really slow and they are laying people off NON STOP. I dont want to get fired or layed off for this bullshit if i **** them off. I havent even been there a year so i cant collect unemployment either. Wtf should i do?? I need a job bad so im fucked if i lose my current one.
