Default CAD Software

Any of you use CAD software?

I need to design some plastic crap. I don't need anything "fully featured," just something that will get the job done quickly in an easy-to-use and learn environment. Considered throwing this in the fabrication section, but it isn't related to cars at all, so ---- it.

What software do you suggest?

you can download most cad software that is cheap and not very good. most of the good stuff you have to pay for like catia or unigraphics. it sounds simple enough what you need it for, just search for autocad. that is what most people are using for simple 2d stuff.

I've played with the sketchup thing from google before. I'll check out autocad as well. It should be enough for what I need it for.

JD I've been pirating since dialup on my ghetto rigged 200mhz pc in a discolored packard bell case

I don't need to know where to get the software, I need recommendations on which are easy and decent. Google doesn't help much because they all say easy to use and ----.
