How far off could it be? I mean as long as your EGR is functioning and you have a mostly efficient cat you will pass. If you have an AFC try leaning it out a bit but not too much...way lean = increased NOX also pull the cotter pin out of your wastegate actuator so you will not make any boost. One more thing here in CA we have a VISUAL inspection too. Turbo is not OEM. I have a couple places that'll turn their head on the visual. let me know if you're coming to So Cal. Emissions tests aren't as bad as everyone says...the really BAD part is that cops have the right to give you a $3000 fine for not having a catalytic converter on your car when they pull you over, they can give you this fine on your first offense but usually don't. just weld some heat shields over your pipe and the cop will never know whats NOT under there. Yeah, if you can get a hookup on the smog test you're stoked (I'd like one). Otherwise, we just take off our turbos every 2 years for the test. Other than that, just hope you don't get pulled over by a dick cop who hates racers. Then it's off to the smog ref.

You have to be careful when doin the sniffer test, if ya fail (this happened to a friend of mine about 4 years ago) the computer sends the info directly to the DMV, and then you are labeled as some sort of smog law offender... If this happens you then have to smog your car EVERY YEAR for a certain amount of years (passing of course) to remove the 'label' or offense.

it's also supposed to be an engine that was originally offered in the car. I know the B16 came in the CRX in Japan but not here so it's kind of a grey area....but you should be ok. You could always go to a "low budget" looking place and slip Paco (no offense) a $20 bill to make things go smoothly.
