I was looking at Edmunds reviews and the 2004 inline six was getting good reviews.

It has always received good reviews. Even with shitty maintenance they run forever. Not the most powerful motor, but they take the abuse.

Joe when I work in sears, it was comond to see them with over 250,000 miles on them runing MINT. The only thing that is bad about them is they drink gas like its nothing

My old GC with the 4.7 V8 got about ~13mpg city and around 18mpg highway. Off-road it got total ---- for mileage, but I beat that mother ****** and 4lo kicks ***. Smoothest vehicle I've ever driven off-road though. Just point it and stab the gas and it goes. I can honestly say I was impressed with the off-road capabilities of it in stock form.

Stay away from the dual zone climate control and expect to hear a "whine" from the front axle. Make sure the A/C blows cold on cold, hot on hot and it blows air where it says it's supposed to. If not, it's an 8 hour job that requires the ENTIRE dash to come out along with the HVAC unit, plus draining the 134a out of the system and disconnecting the heater core. Or you can buy the "heaterTreater" off Egay and cheat. You might not have a problem with a ~2004 model though.

Joe, get Joe E to hook you up with a good rep at his dealership.

I got my 04 Pilot with an extended warranty (6 years, 100k miles) for a pretty good price almost a year and a half ago...you could get a STEAL on one right now and still have a decent warranty.

Look at one of the newer CRV's if you want better gas mileage.

Stay away from GM...who knows what will happen when they get merged or bought out by the US Gov't

Let me know Joe.

Im a big fan of pilots, as long as you have a warranty to go with it.

Customer pay labor sucks ***.
