security is in us hands. i cant find the article but this wasnt a bush admin. plan, and the admin couldnt actually block the deal anyway.
i think the article was in the times (a heavy lib paper) but i cant get it without being a member or something. basically the deal was made homeland security found no security issue and thus it was approved.
our intelligence community must find the problems coming in so our port auth. know where to look.
5% of all shipments entering our ports are physically checked. the ports use fomrula on proven, trusted shippers to base which containers are searched.
the sale to dubai doesnt change anything as far as security issues.
