I ask opinions to support my decisions but not to make my decisions if you know what I mean. these threads usually reminds me of the honda-tech rota threads, they only hate them because majority of the members don't like them, and they are not mad tyte jdm. if you get my drift. its not about what the crowd is doing its about a person like. just my rant. (I may a ricer but everything on my car is somewhat justifed, and I don't regret any of it, except the fact that it took me so long to do it.)
This is no band waggon, I see the all the time on 20 sec rice out civic; thus my dislike for them. They make any car look really ghetto, unless my car was in the 10's I would not be cough with something that makes your car look like ----. BTW I do like carbon fiber when done with good taste.

well my car is running 11's and hopefully next year I break that barrier and go low 10's according the difference in altitude, cars run slower in Germany than the states. but thats not an excuse, I will run 10's or lower next year with the new 2.0l LS/vtec I am building. in a way I am just too lazy and cheap to fab a plate, plus material will cost more money than just buying the carbon fiber hole cover, trust me its really expensive for stuff like this in Germany. plus I kinda like the holes. they both do the job I am trying to accomplish.

LS's are 1.8L, dude. unless you are boring it out to a 2.0L, its gonna be called a CR-Vtec....but thats besides the point.

like it was said, CF can look good when done right. but for the most part, people think it looks "cool", but in all reality, it looks like dog ----.

Drill the ------- holes. Everyone and their mother does it and I've seen them on some pretty fast cars. Must be good for something.

I guess you more than me about honda motors and building them.
let me save you some embarrasment, I currently have a 1.8l ls vtac.
I am currently building a 2.0l golden eagle sleeved ls block , LS block bored to 84mm 89mm stroke=2.0l
look at my motor history if you don't know. been through everything engine wise so far so now I am trying new things like ricey carbon fiber parts I might peice junk yard parts together anymore, but I build all my motors in my own garage alone, and tune them on the autobahn with help from my friend. I am all HMT baby! if someone tell you I am not they ------- lie! hmt is not all about junk ghetto parts.

your car has never ran an 11

you showed us a video of it barely beating a late 80s turbo 4 banger 944 porsche, which make about 220hp....

i tested this out on my old civic at the track one time. i cut out a section of bumper on a spare bumper that i had laying around. my car at the time went consistant 11.74-11.77 i went to the track, made my first run, car went 11.77 as usual....went back to the pits swapped the cut bumper on, went back out. FIRST run out, only change was the cut bumper....went 11.55 and trapped 3mph more than my previous best. i was sold.

the red section of this pic is the area that i cut out of the bumper, i cut it up so that it met the bottom of the spare tire well.

now on the new integra i made an alum piece just like you see on all the other cars...im sold, these holes work great. i also felt a big difference on the freeway...hard to explain but i felt less "drag" on the car at freeway speeds....
