this is going the same way it did with josh.
steve has been here for a long time, ssl2k hasn't...
i dont know all about the situation, but if the internals and all the stuff that was done was worth more than a 1000 bones (even with the broken pistons), then thats still a good deal, at the same time, it does suck to find out the hard way what really is the matter.
if you are looking at getting rid of the rods.. and they fit a z6...
you could also try to send the pistons back to the company. and say they had a defect and broke for no reason

Was it worth $1000 with possible bad rings...yes.
Was it worth $1000 wtih possible bad rings + bad oil pump..yes.
Is it worth it with 4 fucked up forged pistons? no.
$400....new pistons
$100....new rings
$100-200...machine shop work
$150...new oil pump
$65... new headgasket
Im going to end up dropping a ------- d15b2 w/ mpfi in and this is going to end up just sitting around.

you bought a motor you knew smoked, the seller SUGGESTED POSSIBLE problems, he never said for sure what was wrong or what you would have to do. all you people who are jumping on steve about this can choke on my genitals.
yes it sucks your pistons got pwned, but you can't blame steve for this ----. you gambled and it didn't come out in your favor, if you were in vegas bitching like this they'd take you out back and beat your *** down. buy some new pistons, put it back together and call it a learning experience.

you don't need $200 machine shop work. Those walls are probably fine and can just be ball honed.
What I think you paid for:
Block: $100
rods: $300
Bearings/ gaskets: $100
important machine work (balancing): $100
total: $600
You only got fucked for about $400.

i was going to make an offer on that motor, with the risk i would ahve prolly offered him 700 for it, and he might have took it. who knows? i certainly wouldn't be slamming him for it tho.
