My old PS is a turned out to be a 300w, so Ill be getting a new one of those as well.

For the HD, Im willing to pay some premium for a fast mother ******. Seeing how Ive already got a 160g and 120g for storage, I was thinking of getting a smaller 10,000rpm drive. The raptor seemed like a decent buy
What would you suggest for a $150-$200 FAST medium size drive?

dave you need to find a little turbo shaped electrical fan and tiny front mount for your new computer, run charge piping from the little fan, to the intercooler, and then more pipe back to the video card or something, let it blow on the chipset on it.

Ok.. i dunno wtf is going on.. i thought i saw the raptor like 5th on the list for x-fer performance, now its at the top?

Maybe the raptor is a good choice, do the editting on it, then when its compiled and rendered transfer it to a storage drive.

BTW.. you're not going for a somewhat quiet PC are you? :P (raptor is HELLA loud!)

have 2 74gig raptors in one of my servers at work in raid(mirrored) those ******* are ------- fast, never seen a system boot or install windows that fast. i dont think they are loud they are quieter than my other servers(2 dell 6400's) fans.

I definetly agree on the MSI mb, i have a k7n2 delta 2 platinum. and this bitch is great, lots of software for overclocking, and it handles great compared to other cheap mb's.

Eventually ill upgrade my system too, but i had to spend too much money getting it to work again!! Never buy cheap parts to start with!!!
