First pour a few gallons of concentrated hydrofluoric acid into your uranium oxide, converting it to uranium tetrafluoride. (Safety note: Concentrated hydrofluoric acid is so corrosive that it will eat its way through glass, so store it only in plastic. Used 1-gallon plastic milk containers will do.) Now you have to convert your uranium tetrafluoride to uranium hexafluoride, the gaseous form of uranium, which is convenient for separating out the isotope U-235 from U-238.

well i was reading something about a machine being theorized that could project vehicles thru dimensions, something to the effect of a hyper drive only instead of traveling thru regular space its going thru other dimensions.

First transform the gas into a liquid by subjecting it to pressure. You can use a bicycle pump for this. Then make a simple home centrifuge. Fill a standard-size bucket one-quarter full of liquid uranium hexafluoride. Attach a six-foot rope to the bucket handle. Now swing the rope (and attached bucket) around your head as fast as possible. Keep this up for about 45 minutes. Slow down gradually, and very gently put the bucket on the floor. The U-235, which is lighter, will have risen to the top, where it can be skimmed off like cream. Repeat this step until you have the required 10 pounds of uranium. (Safety note: Don't put all your enriched uranium hexafluoride in one bucket. Use at least two or three buckets and keep them in separate corners of the room. This will prevent the premature build-up of a critical mass.)

You spouted some ---- about chemistry that displayed your complete and total ignorance regarding chemistry, I corrected you. You were tearing into a joke article based on technical merits... well, technically, hydroflouric acid doesn't eat (most?) plastics. I know it's fine in HDPE as that's how I've seen it packaged.

I make a point of only talking about things that I know about. Does that mean I'm always right? Probably.

How about you pay attention to the things I don't respond to; you can infer quite a lot of things I do not know about, that you likely do. Does that mean I'm wrong? Probably not.

You ripped into the technical merits of hydroflouric acid + plastic, about a ------- E-JOKE. So, I teased you about your complete ignorance of chemistry. I repeat, the link has nothing to do with hydroflouric acid. Delete anything we've said about it from this thread, and this time tomorrow ask somebody what that link is about. Are they going to say anything about hydroflouric acid, or are they going to say it's a joke?

Thats funny but alot of it is bullshit. For instance to separate the uranium isotopes from each other you need at least 100000G, which is alot more than any over the counter centrifuge can generate. Also, getting uranium is not as easy as ordering it from some chemical supply store. ----, I'm a chemist and even I cant order uranium in large quantites like that.

All the chemistry he said was true but you would kill yourself very quickly if you tried doing it yourself with out the proper protection. And yes, HF is fine in some plastics.
