Default Broke an Axle :(

Its the first time i broke one...

Funny, didnt have issue when runing the LS, and boostin 17psi,

Put a D16 in there with 9psi, and i brake one ..

Going to put the new one in the morning...

prob broke cause of the long *** axels on the d and with the b being equal lenth it can take more with out breaking..

throw in a pep boyz warranty axle in there for $50 and you're golden!

I've a friend who's been running 7.5-7.7 in the 1/8th off OBX diff and stock axles for 3-4 years now.

Learn to preload, D-series axles aren't quite as beefy as B-series. Also, is this a different chassis? You might have a suspension/wheelhop problem.

well the thing about preloading is um, i wasnt racing, i just got on it in secound gear andit went pop.....
Its the same chasi, have traction bars, and i fiilled all the mounts with window weld, and kept both the little suportive mounts. there is less wheel hop in this than i had with my race mounts on the LS..

hmm, i got the 80$ life time from salvos, might need to go look at pepboys, before i put it in later....

Some of the ching chong meow remans have overly hardened shafts and such, will fail in stock 80 whp applications.

sounds like a shitty axle problem. i have to autozone lifetime warranty axles. i am curious what they will say when i come in one day with with pieces
