i cant find a link to a real press, basically its a ram that puts thousands of pounds of force on a specific area, any decent shop should have one

there should be a little threaded section on the rotor, you normally put the correct size bolt in there and start tightening it, this will force the rotor to come off.

Most cars are like this.

Dont heat anything up with a torch, jesus christ

i hope that he wasnt laughing, why the hell would you torch it ? you cause the risk of warping ---- and ruining the hub. listen to jeff about the screw holes on a rotor but if i remember right jettas and some vw's dont have the rotor extractor hole. (the newer ones) i just use a 5lb sledge and hit it in a cross pattern.

oh god don't take my fire advise, sorry man. I just like fire, you shoulda seen me bbq'ing the other weekend

But Just take your time, and make sure there are no obstructions preventing it from coming loose. So look for little pins or screws. And spray on some WD-40, I like me some WD-40 Julio had some stuff that was amazing, it was called bust-a-nut, don't know where he got it from, but that thing worked.

After you get the rotor off WITHOUT fire, then gather up some nieghborhood cats and light them on fire

Ya, Juilo probably cans his "Bust-a-Nut" himself..

I use Zep 45, best lubricant I have ever used.

I dont think once in my lifetime I ever used a torch on a brake rotor
