where would that be?

no one thinks s2ks are ----- magnets and the average person can't tell the difference between it and a rsx

s2000 is a great handling/braking car I recommend anyone who rags on them to drive one. Powerwise they are a little weak but the 2004+models came with the 2.2 which Ill tell you makes a huge difference. My buddy was running low 13's at Vegas' Drag strip on street tires in his 2004 model. Only things done were an exhaust,aem intake, 70mm throttle body,ported intake manifold. Thats a high 12 sec car at sea level not bad for basic bolt ons. The s2k exhaust manifold is a solid unit but some of the Jap companies like Toda have a header that makes 15+whp across the powerband.



Stock s2k's arent that fast but like the car above what a difference just basic mods make. Will it hang with us super cars of course not and I dont care that it doesnt. Its a very nice car and I will buy one some day.

im like to see that.

he went from mid/high 14s to low 13s with those mods?

and yes I was there its not that hard to believe. I have driven 10 sec cars the car stock was ok. After opening the car up it changed totally

There is the dyno. If you dont believe that I have numerous other dyno's of a correctly ported factory manifold/large throttle body on stock honda 4 bangers making up to 20 whp


Its not that uncommon its just not happening with casted china manifolds what a surprise. Hand porting owns.

ive never seen one run 13.8 stock.

honda says they run 14.4 which is probably more common

they are pretty (2900ish dry) light so i suppose 220rwhp + 3100lbs with gas and light driver = low 13s at about 103mph?? with a good launch what was his trap speed?

S2K + Vortech blower= 300 plus horsepower in EVERY instance I have seen, plus ALOT of usable torque. Yeah, you have to mod the car to get those numbers, but you have to do the same with MOST Mustangs and Z28's as well. There are 2 or 3 S2K's at the local autocross events, and they always do well. You could find a good condition MR2 for $15K as well. And I've always like those cars, especially the 2nd gens. I wouldn't drive one of the third gens unless I was making GOOD(300+) power with it. That's the only thing that would make up for it being ugly as hell, IMO...Johnny, your outlook on EVERYTHING is pretty ------' lame...And your infatuation with Vettes and Camaro's is really no big suprise to me. I swear every guy I see driving a 80's or newer model Vette or Maro always strike me as latent homosexual ****** who think their ---- doesn't stink...lol...so pathetic it's funny...

it was in that range low 100's


The guy drove a 9.30 turbo civic so yes he can drive so that may also factor into the good times.
