you can get a salvage title car back to clean title.. just a pain in the *** and hassle to do it.

---- it man, good find, you will have it back together for a couple grand, and have a paid off wrx that cost you less than 10k, then you can trade it in/sell it in a year or two and make some good profit. who cares if it's shady, as long as you got a bill of sale from the guy, it can't come back on you anyways.

All you have to do is get a level 2 check out from the mvd, then they replace your VIN, and you get a clean title.

exactly what i was going to say. The laws vary from state to state and some states wont allow it though like florida you can buy theft recoveries and wrecked cars and bikes for next to nothing in florida because they cant be reregistered

I did the same, what's the problem? , I still own an 88 hatch, but I sold my 97 ex for the WRX.

Congrats on the new car, I also have a 2002 WRX in WR blue. I paid $18,000 for it. Check Ebay for used parts, I see a lot of bumpers doors, fenders and stuff like that going pretty cheap. I go to WRXfanatics.com, good people, lots of info.
