Re:Bought the Starion need a lil help
check and see if the stock ECU uses a boost cut or BCS system...many of the late 80s/early 90s turbo cars I've worked on had those(MX6s, MR2s, etc.)...after 7 pounds or so, they cut out like a rev limit.

Re:Bought the Starion need a lil help
Just wondering if you read my post.Do you know what a airflowmeter is?If you do how about taking the vacum hose of it like i said.Did i say take it off the vacum advance?NOOO anyway you are hitting whats called fuel cut.The ecu is calibrated to the airflow meter an whats happening when boost is coming in the airflow meter is sending the wrong info to the ecu.this in turn is making the ecu go into fuel cut.Remove the vacum hose from the airflometer an plug it.Go drive it an see what it does.I have been downthis road when i worked for mitsu before they close there doors last month.

the airflow meter is where the aircleaner is.The intake pipes atacht to it Passenger front of next to head lamp *** big round black metal container. There willbe a vacum line comeing from your wastegate boost controller an it will connect to the outside next to the intake pipe.Small vacum line.Plug it of an go drive it.....
