Default BOTI Aftermath

BOTI aftermath

Dave's Crx 11.7 @ 120? (slicks)
Dustin's GTI (with aaron driving) 13.2 @ 115? (street tires)
Jeff 12.9 @ 108 (slicks) / Steve driving in my car on street tires 13.3 @ 112
Beau DNF... the b16a has now been retired, 9500rpms on the stock b16a automatic valve springs was enough to drop a valve and seize the engine.

What a day, ... or should I say week I spent the last few days trying to rebuild my zc for this race and all I did was make the car incredibly slower. Running forged pistons on 7.8c/r the thing is absoultly a dog. The wastegate is completely shut (no spring) and it only boosts 13-14psi. It felt faster stock with 9psi Oh well, I think I'm just gonna enter the car show next time. Bisi's new insight is ------- badass he only made one run 10.1ish but the car is just absoultly beautiful. There were definatly alot of fast cars there today especially in the street classes. Oh and congrats to alfy for finally busting into the 14's and taking home 1st place in his class I only watched stef make one run and I think it was a 12.1ish?

Had a blast at BOTI this year.
But instead of pulling an all nighter swapping a piston in my car like last year, I drove down to help Jeff get his car going.
The plan was to throw in the 3bar, and boost the living ---- out of it. 20psi was the goal, but even with the WG shimmed completely shut, it just didnt happen.

Jeffs EG at around 30am

All lined up for tech inspection. Shaa right. Tech inspection didnt even include popping your hood lol.

Jeff and Alfay pimping the KIA. It drew HUGE crowds

Beau having a great day at the track....

Beau's spark plug having a great day at 9500rpm...

Really shitty about Beaus engine; his B16 held up to many years of massive boost and abuse.

Jeff taking my new fatty slicks on their maiden panty ripper...

Jeff wasnt happy with the slicks, and decided to swap em' for some street tires...

Steve getting ready work Jeff's car...

My brother drove down to watch, so I twisted his arm into taking my CRX for a run
He did really well for not having any time behind the wheel, first time on slicks, and having to deal with my VW truck shifter.
12.5 @ 119. Was fun watching my own car go down the track at full tilt.

Bisi's new ride was beautiful. I was really looking forward to watching it make its first run. Nothing like an Insight w/ a F22 backed up with a L3 tranny

Overall BOTI was awsome this year. Got to see lots of very fast local cars. Intec had a large # of fast cars out, and Stephen's car sounds ------- mean.
Driving home on race gas was fun too. Unfortunately I didnt happen to roll up on any Z06's, so some solo rippers had to do

Sorry, but I don't think Bisi is running a L3 tranny, more like a 88 Teg CG tranny with Houseman dog gears.

I'll get pics in 3 weeks at Route 66.........

had fun last night guys! was good to see you holly!!

was glad to see jeff's eg at least make it in the 12's

dave had a good night and good runs

dustin's car seemed to have done well...i'm not up to date on whether jeff made his goal of beating him though.

and for once, i thought beau was going to make it through an import even without breaking something. he made it through his first run with only a minor issue and it looked promising with room for improvement....unfrotunately, seizing the motor wasn't the kind of "improvement" we all had in mind.

all in all though a fun day at track. and as my first experience at PR, you all made it worth it.
