Weld it up then, nothing else will hold up the way you want/need it to.

----, then fibreglass is your next best bet I suppose, though I would just leave it, doubt anything you put on there, even the mircale JB weld is gonna be stronger than the welds already on it.

Well I figured id make my frist post something useful so....

The "bondo" brand makes this stuff call bondo-glass. its pretty much bondo with fiber glass strands in it. Its about 20 times easier to put down then figerglass and alot less messy.

my opinion... just jb weld that ----. I wouldn't trust bondo to it. No one would EVER use bondo as complete support to hold up something (i.e. when you bondo your bumper to fenders, you still mount bumper to bumper support, etc.).

So use JB weld, and if you want to make it pretty AFTERWARDS use bondo and make if purdy, but you don't need purdyness.

Mike, Go to a body shop or pretty good parts store and ask for Body Mechanics Glue. It hold to prepped surfaces like weld. Many shops use it know instead of welding in patch panels like rear quarters because it holds just as well as welding it and it doesn't warp the rest from heat. it was used on my buddies CRX when they did it.

Or just to seal it, it will add a little strength, go to the parts store and buy seam sealer. It's the ---- you find from factory over all the sheet metal seams on your car.

itr will hold up for awhile. but if you live any where near where it gets super cold in the winter and hot in the summer it will crack. fiberglass and metal have different expanding rates. the metal will expand quicker. making it crack. it may not crack right away but it will

How large is the patch? I would have just gone w/ mild steel, MIG'd the ---- on their, then painted it with rustoleum, then go over it with a rubberized under coating. Seeing as how you've already gone stainless, I would say JB weld the bitch, or use that stuff that BumbleZC was talking about.
