Default body parts

hey all, i just hit some one and i don't have collision. i need a new hood/ bumper, and radiator, headlights, and probably other things i'm not yet aware of.. i'm sure a body shop would rape me, so i'm wondering what do you guys usually do.

should i just find parts online for cheap and then take it to a shop and juist have them charge me for labor? i can't do this ---- myself. my steering is fucked up too. fukin A. this is gonna delay the turbo setup most deff.

BTW the car is a 00' lx 4dr. i hope my motor is ok, it died as i pulled into my drive way. thats prolly cause the radiator is gone right?

i thought this was gonna be a **** post :P

but anyway.. yeah finding the parts on local boards, ebay, junk yards, yada yada. would definetly be less costly then if you were to get it from the place that is fixing it. But some places might not let you do that, just make sure to check before hand.
Also a hood, bumper, radiator and headlights are an easy fix.. I'm sure you could do that yourself no problem

I just talked to the guy at autobody, its gettin towed in a hour and they gonna quote me, i think i need a new ac too but f- that , just more room for turbo. i told them i havge access to parts and he said that he wouldn't charge for parts i brought him. once i find out how much they want to charge i'll figure out what i'mma do. hopefully they won't charge me too crazy since its not insurance . ---- g2g tow guy just got here, ty noel

to fix the steering you prolly need an alignment. the other ---- isn't that har to fix ur self. i totaled my civic about ayear ago int the front. i got all aftermarket ---- to replace it and it was less than $1000. CF hood, FIberglass fenders, 1 Peice headloghts, front and rear bumper, radiator support, front bumper support. it was just a little time consuming. i needed to borrow my buddy's truck to do some pullin, but that was about it. DO IT
