With that said, if the shipping company did infact lose the package, how is that at all the sellers fault? If the seller knew the shipping company was going to lose the package then I could see it, but I'm guessing he didn't? Also, it has already been stated that the seller is going to replace the item IF it does infact become a lost item. So the buyer isn't going to get screwed on this deal. It sucks that he has had to wait this whole time for his item, but it's not really the sellers fault, is it?

I'm just not seeing where the seller is in the wrong in this situation. The people to blame would be the shipping company. I've never dealt with this seller so I don't know how he is about this sort of thing. I'm just giving my unbiased opinion.
I can see where you can be confused Doc, but my buddy was told on several different occasions that the turbo was going to be there on "X" day. Then three days later, no turbo and "oh it will be there "X" day and then no turbo. Ok, I got Saturday delivery. Spent saturday waiting for it and no turbo. So....how did he know that the turbo was going to be there on "X" day...well, he didn't. So, if he did not know where it actually was and did not know when it was actually going to get there, he was lying. Then it took a couple more weeks to get a "not sure where it is, I am having the post office look into it" type response. Tell me this...if you bought something from me...I told you I sent it, it has been WEEKS, you still don't have it and the number that I provided you for tracking purposes provide ZERO information...would you not believe that I pulled a fast one on you or had no intentions on giving your your product? On top of the fact that the way this entire thing was handle was complete BS....maybe it is exceptable to treat people that way in Montreal, but I would not put up with it here.

i dont think a company is willing to throw their business away for one person, i mean if it was happening to tons of people then i would start worrying about it, i mean yeah it is pretty fucked up that he said it would be there on a certain date.

Well the lieing part is bullshit, I'll agree. The fact that this guy has a business makes me think he's not going to just forget about this. He is already saying he will send another part as soon as the shipper figures out what the hell went wrong. I'm sure he has many customers at a time and everybody always wants their parts NOW NOW NOW and are probably asking on a daily basis. I would tell them it's on the way or it will be there in a few days too.

If the shipping company says they lost the package and the seller doesn't refund/send a new product, then I would say he is an ------- and we should go skull ---- him, but we aren't there yet.

I can promise you guys, if you were actually on the other end of this like my buddy, you would feel much the same way, whether you still believed the delay was all in the shipping company or not. The overall way this issue has been handled pretty much demanded that things got ugly. Actually until tonight, when this guy denied that he was making racial comments and stated that we were the rude ones, my buddy was not nearly as pissed as I was, now he is pissed even more. I am sure the differences between his story and mine would vary greatly. Bottom line is, I don't think this guy is pusing to get the issue resolved. If it were my customer, I would be making a phone call every morning till it was handled. I personally come into work about an hour early every day to handle important issues that cannot be handled once the business of the day starts. It's just getting really old.

This is the reason I use only a major carrier for shipping to the US.I pre do the customs inspection here so there is no customs stop it just sails straight through. The postal service is a poor choice for cross border shipping and I really question why a company who's primary customers are in the US would use a known slow and unreliable freight company.Blaast you should look into Purolator they deliver my packages to almost anywhere in the US within 3-5 business days.

Nothing takes that long in customs unless there was drugs in the box.

Was it mailed with signature confirmation? If not it could be at another address and the people aren't returning it. What happens then?

You shouldn't have ordered that white powdery coating on the inside for the extra $100 it cost you time in customs and maybe behind bars.
