Bikes
Just got a 98 ZX6R. Got a really good deal on it, so I jumped at the opportunity. Any opinions on upgrades/gear/sites? Want to make an attempt at not killing myself, so I'm gonna stick to residential streets/non-highways for a week or 2.

dude.... get yourself a good nogin protector!!!! It saved my life
and dont ride with anyone crazy till YOU get the hang of it, in the first year of owning a bike or first 8000 miles is when you more likely to get hurt or killed., have fun though

Re: Bikes
Get a good lid for starters, i wouldnt wear anything less than an arai or shoei. You cant really put a price on your head! Oh, and get leathers, 1 or 2 piece suit prefferably armoured where it counts. Good gloves and boots are just as important as the suit. However, If you like the idea of skin grafts and broken bones then wear sneakers jeans and a coat.
Good luck
