the same thing happened to my roommate but his problem was a huge hole in his piston and carnage to his valves. it didnt pop or make a ton of noise he just lost power and pulled it over. we jumped it . we connected the fuel pump to the battery . nothing . we towed it home and he decided it was time for a b series anyways, he pulled the head and found a6 carnage

pull the fuel return line off and crank it over, lots of fuel = fuel
dbl check for spark
pull the oil cap off and look in the head while somone is cranking it over and make sure the head is turninig

if u have good spark/fuel then its prob the distributor or timing

also if the alt just seized up on u that could do it aswell, the extra resistance wont let the car crank over fastenuff to start

also check grounds

Fuel filter ? Could be something simple, so check if yoru gettin fuel at the rail first.

UPDATE! : well I got it running. It was getting spark and fuel but it wouldnt start so I took the dizzy cap off and the rotor didnt have the screw in it! So I put on in it and it fired right up! thanks alot for all of your help
