well just got back from the recruiters.

looks like i might get ------- stuck with a comms contract.

basically the recruiter filled out a request to transfer my DEP contract from reserves to active duty.

i had to choose 3 contracts that i would want.

i had to do so with a 6'+ 250lb master gunnery sargeant breathing down my neck.

so my choices went as such.

1st) UH infantry please god i so ------- hope i can get this, there is only one left in the entire 12th district (oregon to san diego and out to utah)

2nd) F8 comms JR you basically influenced this choice so if i hate this MOS im going to find you and make sure you know it.

3rd) E4 artillery consists of 4 artillery positions one of which is a forward observer (what i want) so its a gamble though i will probally be a ------- cannon cocker)

so yeah, have a terrible stomachache because im ------- so god damn worried that i wont get the UH contract.

so all bullshit aside if any of you noglets are religous say some prayers for me.

You'll be perfect for the military. You haven't even signed any papers and you think they own you. What a bitch.

What you said about the recon, is exactly what I said, in a round about way.

so fast forward to after you went into the office....

Wait a second bro. What did you just do? You ------- let them have your *****.

You dont need the Marine Corps, the Marine Corps needs you.

with that, let me tell you...signing into the dep program means absoutly nothing. It means you are eligible to enlist into the United States Military. Those 3 chices, its nothing more than a tatic. Your gonna go to meps, swear in, get your ------- looked at, etc. etc. but in the end, what you have on your real contract when you go to the MCRD. So go masterbate and relieve yourself of some stress, because what you did means nothing. The physical you do at meps is the only thing that is important at the present time. That quota that they are telling you is bullshit. October is the new fiscal year, and just started 2 months ago. New fiscal year means new quota's. Don't tell me for one second that they only have 1 slot in the entire district for a 03, cause thats utter bullshit.

So lets settle down and figure out what you want, now what they want.

You want the front line, motivated Devil Dog thing to happen to you. Great. From what I am told by someone who gives no ---- weather or not you come into the gun club, I am being told that you, with your brains, as a 03 will not be what you want to be. I have givin you my advice a few times on what to do.

Don't worry about that master guns.

Then you also knew knew that later on down the road, you would leave califorina and move onto some new housing complex and make a new life with a painting business. yeah.

i know that the DEP program means nothing.

but, i sat there while they went through the contracts on the computer. so it may have been a ploy and i may be a dumbass for falling for it.

so, they fax the request for a pool change is what the gunny called it. it says my choices on it just like i listed them above because i watched the gunny fill it out.

this changes my DEP contract to whatever comes back.

i go down to MEPs on saturday to do more paper work changing my DEP contract to an active duty one.

whichever contract they tell me is open. so worst case scenario im DEPed in for artillery.

what happens when i go to MCRD and say, no, ---- you guys im not signing anything unless its a UH contract?

because i have heard many people tell me that that is what i should do, yet i have not heard it from a Marine that actually did it.

I am going to look like a ******** basically. now i get no cooperation from my recruiters. i have no interest in any other branch of the military. i really want to be a Marine. how is that going to look?

ok, so the fiscal year starts in october.

can you point me to some solid evidence that that applies to the marines, not because i doubt you but because i will need to be able to tell them where i found it.

what if they basically deny me? i want to be in the Marines.

Not knowing the plan at the time doesn't mean I didn't realize it was a waste of my time. My friends who stayed and got out after 4 years would agree.

That would mean you have the ***** to know what you want and get it. Otherwise, you're a bitch.

ZC, so the fiscal year starts in october.

My guess is the only thin they did was change your status to active duty. that MOS thing really means ---- at the moment. ----, you might get to the meps station, go through the physical and they tell you that you have a fucked up back or some ----. Concentrate on getting through that.

Your contract. When you go to boot camp, your gonna carry your no ---- contract in hand with you. You will know EVERYTHING you enlisted for before you even leave your recruiting station. You will sign the contract at your station, go to the meps station, they will swear you in and then you will go to the yellow footprints from there.

about you shitting on the recruiters, again. they need you, you don't need them, and in the end...another recruiting station is the next town over, if you want it that bad. Don't ------ settle for something you don't want. Keep your mind open though.
