best way to remove dent from bike tank? (ducati)
got the ugliest, piece of ---- salvage titled ducati 748 basket case you can ------- imagine for dirt cheap.
talking yellow and black spray paint, everything needs rebuilding.
handle bar dent in the side of the tank, owner decided to bondo the ---- out of the dent and paint it with walmart paint.
whats the easiest method of fixing the dent?
i was thnking about taking it to a TIG welding class i just signed up for, they have a horizontal band saw there maybe pulling everything off of it and chopping it in half, hammer/form the ---- out of it, and weld it back up?
heard about welding these pins to the side and yanking them.
any other ideas?

On second thought, carry on as planned and die in a fire please.
- Electric resistance weld type dent pulling is going to be the best way, that and try to pry from the inside with spoons a and body tools. You will need to repaint anyway.

Dry ice is an old wives tale... The theory is you heat the dent with a torch then quickly cool it with the dry ice shrinking the dent. It works with hail dents 20% of the time. It won't work on a gas tank!
