Best way not to get scammed!!! works
Ok, if you are trying to buy something from someone on hmt, ask the SELLER for 3 pieces of junk mail, a home phone utility ( call to verify that he lives there ) , the phone doesn't have to be under there name and have them email it to you for proof of address. Mail has to be within 30 days old. that way if they ---- you, then they'll get whats coming to them. and if the product is ok, then they shouldn't have a problem giving it to you.
Just an idea....

Yeah, there comes a point when you would be like, "please check yourself into the hospital for paranoia" People that are great sellers arent willing to shell out all their information just because they are good sellers. The internet is a place where you have to run some kind of risk in buying. I don't think that will ever completely go away.

yep, if I'm already hooking you up with a good part for cheap, I sure ain't gonna go out of my way to send you copies of my bills too. Really, if you don't feel right about buying from someone, don't, that's all there is too it. I could go smoke a big *** fattie and still wouldn't be that paranoid. But for those who wanna try that, more power to ya. I think there would be a risk involved to the seller then, giving you personal info like that.
