take a ice cream bucket, put a stick leaning up against as a ramp, with the tip hanging over the center of the bucket. take a much smaller/lighter stick and lay it on top of the long stick/ramp with a little bit of peanut butter on the end of it. Mouse walks up the ramp to get the peanut butter, the small stick acts like a teeder toder and the mouse falls in the bucket when he tries to get the peanut butter. fill bucket half full of water for drownage(optional)
if you're worried about being humane, glue traps basically torture the thing to death, but I hear they work pretty well.

Yes im ------- serious. I used to work in a warehouse and we would catch 1 lbs rats every other day.
Id box them up, and put electronics stickers on the box and leave them out on the street at lunch and watch people pull up and drive off with them. WIsh i was there to see the look on their faces when they think they scored something.
