I know Bulitt has the sweet chase scene in it, but does that really make it a great "car movie"? I mean, that wasn't even the focus of the movie when it first came out. The idea of a car chase scene was just being invented. Best chase scene? hands down, Bullitt. But as for movies....

Well thats dumb, because modern cars dont require you to double clutch. The reason for double clutching (known as DC from here on in) is to match the speed of the tranny to the next gear. Modern tranny's (like mid 80's and up) all have Syncros that do the job for us. The only real reason to DC is to get into 1st gear at speed.

its called driven (the stallone movie) and it was way to far fetched. gone in 60 was really good, but the original wasnt quite as hot. i mean maybe cause it was made so long ago. are u guys forgetting the chase scene in 'the rock'? that was awesome too. and i know the gay and the glorious was everything that the import scene isnt, but it opened the doors for alot of people. (and made it much easier for the REAL racers to win money off the ricers). as bad as the fast and the furious was, i know ill still be out there on opening night to see the new one, even though i know everything in it will be wrong. whatever i loved gone in 60 and bullit was cool. but my fave isnt really a movie at all. go to DSMGARAGE.com (i dont know how i found this, i dont like DSMs) and go to the media section and DL the REDLINE video. its long as hell, like 56megs, but its worth every second. its all supras. and it has the hottest techno song behind it.
