Bent Spindles

Bent Spindles
Well, the other day I brought my car to get it aligned. I received some bad news, my right front and right rear have bent spindles. The mechanic estimated $600 in repairs. Since I always do my own work I definately plan to fix these myself. The only problem is that I have never heard of a spindle and the Haynes manual does not help. Anybody know exactly what they are and how hard it is to fix them? BTW, I have done suspension work such as shocks/springs and axles.

Lol, so many arrows.. Its where the black arrow is pointing at.
this one, below, is the white arrow.
I've never seen an import get an alignment, but I've seen domestic trucks get aligned and never seen them take the tires, rotors and ----. I dont see how they saw it bent. (Unless your aligment was very disfigured, like tires pointing in different directions)

Re:Bent Spindles
yeah, take it somewhere else, mechanics have told me my power steering was broken, or that my inner tie rods needed to be replaced, when my car has neither of those. Just wait till they start lecturing you on the 'geometric' problems associated with lowering your car. lol. some mechanics hate doing alignments on lowered cars, and they will tell you anything to get out of it. I had to actually build an alignment machine because I couldn't get anybody to do my car.
