yeah deisels r fast. my dad has a 03 duramax w/ the superchip's ecu upgrade. the ecu upgrade is about the biggest upgrade you can do, you can get about 100 more horsepower and about 120 ft. lbs. more torque for a couple hundred dollars.

runnin a k&n filter rite now, no problems yet.

You do know that every filter requires replacement/cleaning, rigth? You still need to clean it and oil it at regular intervals. It doesn't clean itself. :P

I know but its a well known fact in the diesel world that any gause and oil filter that lets in more air also lets in more ultra fine dirt particals which equals acelerated wear. If you dont belive me get a BIG k&n like on a diesel and hold it up to a light bulb, They got some good sized holes in them.

my filter never gets dirty, it just lets all the dirt and stuff go into the engine, but at least I have a clean filter sitting in my garage.

25. my dad is a good guy tho. he has helped me out immensely. he was a reserve deputy on the sherriff's dept for 10 years, and was the tactical hand to hand combat and small weapons trainer. thats what i was referring to, when i said that was wrong. not to mention he is packing the heat 98% of the time. i was playin around with him, told him i was gonna kick his ***, he made me nearly **** myself using only his thumb.

doc- its no problem, I just wanted you guys to know that my statement wasn't coming from thin air, as lots of them do in here.

I don't run a filter. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who hasn't self-destructed.
