Beau's car pics w/ bonus Bullshit dyno
Next Wed is our 2nd import event at Pacific Raceways, so Beau has been really working on his car getting it ready for this year. I must say he has been doing some very impressive work, and everything looks real good.
You can see the Air-water resivor w/ pump installed, along with the window net. The cage looks real good after he painted it.
Charge piping is all done.....
Beau is using my incredibly sexy Car dolly to tow his beast behind, HAHAHAHA, he decided to paint my fenders baby blue, damn they look good

THE DYNO BULLSHIT
We needed to get beaus car tuned for Wed, *** dyno and a AF is just not gonna happen no more. Wideband tuning is really the only way to go.
So we do 3 pulls on the dyno to get a good fuel map going just so it doesnt lean out or anything. I am working off a modified PR3 map. w/ Zdyne... Everything seems to be going fine, So we make 1 (almost full pull) to 7000 and beau made like 249 @ 7000rpms. The dyno was being all homosexual and wasnt picking up RPM, so he cut the pull short. Next we tried again (no changes) and the once the car hit vtec the car ------- freaked out! backfiring, surging you name it.. The dyno chart looked like ***, made like 148hp. So beau, is like WTF did you do to my MAP, I said "I didnt do a ------- thing!" I looked at the fuel map and it looked ok, so I thought it had to do something with timing, so I gave it a few more degree's of timing, did another pull same thing!.. We pinpointed it had to be an ignition problem. So beau pulled his distributor cap and found the pickup for the coil on the cap had broken off when he was ------- with it the night before. So no big deal right?.... we sent a guy to the auto store to grab a new cap... Beau went to put on the new cap and broke it, heh it really sucked. Waste of a dyno day.
I really think the car can make an upwards of 275+ HP..

Damn, that sucks. How much did the runs cost?
The car looks good. The cage looks way better now that it is painted. Does the front bumper still fit and clear the charge pipe? It looks wierd.

yup, Stock B16a 1g with some SRP 9.1 pistons, nothing fancy at all.
The main objective was to get the chasis & turbo setup done, swapping in a built engine is a piece of cake

did some practice launches in the parking lot at work with the good ol j1 tranny with the welded diff and slicks on i must say it was awsome. thanks for the coments guys. yes the 1g dsm bov is going out the window soon just sorta ran out of money right now.
