When I try to sign in it says
Signing on with nickname JEG_HMT Authorization required to use Registered Nickname JEG_HMT
is there something I do to get it to change my name then?

Download a regular IRC client, such as www.mirc.com

irc.everywherechat.com is the server

port 7000? Most anything 699x-700x should work.

you configure mirc for nickname, etc?

Connect to irc.gamesnet.net (6667) and for some reason it will not connect.. mabye I'll jus give up... appreciate the help though.
