Default Back in the Domestic world

I havn't had a V8 or a domestic since my first couple cars. Oldsmobiles.

Picked this up on Sunday for $800. This is my new winter driver. Little rough on gas, but it is nice to just run ---- over rather than wondering if it will tear your car apart.

Had to de-rice the thing already. Scraped off some vinyls on the back window. The purple tint is going. There was a white grill insert and white light covers on it too. Damn punk kids.

1988 Chevy 1500, 5.7L V8, 2wd

The truck is nice though. I was surprised at how much I like the stripped down nature of it. It's 100% and 0% yuppie bullshit.

Damn $800? that thing looks pretty cool. Not a truck guy myself but I'd pimp it if you paid for gas.

Got up to 19 today, so I took her through the wash. Wheels are in good shape.

damn $800...man I swear as bad as I've wanted/need a good truck I can never find one for that price that looks or runs half decent

How many miles? What year is it also? I had a tank of a car as a second car, 1985 Chevy Caprice, 305 4barrel th700r4, 168k miles, $500. Man that thing was a beast. It'd be a heck of a nice winter beater now

It is a 1988. It has 151K on it. Newer trans though. Had all the vehicle history. It was a Florida truck up til about 3 years ago. So it isn't too bad for rust. Just the wheel wells on the bed, but the cab end is great.
