b16 block with ls head

Re:b16 block with ls head
Most people give away LS heads so if you had a B series block you wanted to boost for the ---- of it without spending $67,983 on a B16 head, you could do it.

Reversing the torqeless b16a into a Non-vtec is just stupid. Unless you cannot find a vtec head and you can not wait to drive your car.. Fine, but I really would not suggest it. For one, your going to have to reverse the procedure. I would assume you would have to drill out the dowls on the head so you can get them to fit. You say your going to run a GSR crank, GSR RODS and GSR pistons? B16a's have a shorter deck height than B18's. Are you going to weld a Deck plate on your B16a? the pistons are gonna stick out of the block. Ok lets say your going to keep the b16a crank, and b16a rods and use GSR pistons with your B16a/LS.. Now you have a compression ratio of 8.6, that with your 50-75 shot of "THE NAWZ" You might be able to beat a bone stock gsr.
Do it right the first time, Stick with vtec, go with a good set of cams, Maybe some high compression CTR pistons. I perfer the GSR head, but in all honesty I would go for whatever is cheaper.

Re:b16 block with ls head
AFAIK vtec killer cams will not fit in an LS head anyway.
there are reasons for killing vtec on an N/A motor, but drag racing ISN'T one of them.
I think you need to do some more research before youstart to undertake this endeavor. to say the absolute least
