B series options...
Ok, So im about to buy a crx with a b18 in it. And of course...like many other...I'm going to peice together my own turbo kit. From what I have been reading...I can go with a custom log mani, hf mani (correct me if I'm wrong), or a custom or aftermarket mani. Are their any other options I have to go with? Like, is there any way possible a dsm mani would fit?
I have also been trying to consider what turbo I want to go with. I want to go with a turbo that would spool rather quickly. I've been thinking that the t-25 might not be what I want with the b18. 14B may be an option...but I was wondering what yall think? I T3 wouldn't spool as fast as a 14B, but would it be more suitable for my engine. Feel free to post some b18 setups and yalls opinions. They will be greatly appreciated.

not saying he should be asking these questions, especially since we have the faq's.. but some people just like direct human input... sometimes facts arent good enough you know? We were all noobs once and i know where hes coming from. a T3 would be more suitable for you engine, u cant use hf mani, has to be a custom B series manifold, the hf manifold is for d series

Dear Newbie:
Well you've come to the right place for the do-it-yourself turbo kit. The first thing you need to look at is if you are even capable of doing this yourself. Your questions are valid, but with the help of the search posts link you could have found the answers you were seeking. For the turbo, T3 would be ideal but I prefer the T25 for many applications under 2.0, it's a cheap turbo to get since many DSM drivers like to upgrade.. and it's a fast spooler, my brother's GST with full exhaust (done by yours truly) spools at 2500 RPM, that's without boost management too. The "what fits the B manifold" was covered 2 weeks ago. Custom is your only route, either shell out 150-400 or make it yourself.
This brings me to the next point, can you do this/do you have access to the tools to do this. Read some of my other posts on helping people out, you will get a good idea of what you need, there are also gobs and gobs of info for doing your own kit out there, check the links section of this website (mainsite) for some help with B series motors.
BTW New Guy, read my other posts, I go into detail in helping new people out, but I'm going to keep it short with you since it appears that you are more then able to gather the info yourself. Please put forth some research before your next post, if you can't find what you are looking for then consult us and tell us in detail what you are doing (and what research you have done). Welcome to HMT and good luck.

I think everyone needs to stop insulting the new guys and start directing them like quadnie did, because we are making the forum looks like a bunch of asses because, we dont want to help the new guy, if everyone if everyone uses the search and research then we wouldn't have no reasons to exists correct? so please be more tactical in your replies to new members
