no no, its not a pin... its a dent... imagine if u had the axle nut off... theres a place where that axles nut us smashed, like dented.. that dent rests on a groove in the axle... Either way you shouldnt be buying a breaker bar... get anything, even a ------- exhaust piping will work

yes, that's 'unstaking' it. just put the tip of the screw driver on the bottom of where it's dented and hammer so it taps it out of the groove, i doubt prying it like you were doing would work too well. just get that done and the bolt should come right off. do you know how to seperate your ball joint? once you get the bolt off and your ball joint seperated and the fork at the bottom of your shock off, just tap the end of your axle and it will pop out the back of you hub then just pull it out of the tranny (or intermediate shaft depending on what side your doing you may have to pry it a little).

but the space to put the flat head is to narrow for the screw driver.I keep breaking the screw drivers. This my first time changing my axle, but seen someone change it before i thought it would be easy.

it is easy, next time you do it will only take you ten minutes because you'll know exactly what to do. put the flat head in there the other way, hell, just get anything that will fit on the bottom of the dented part that you can hammer out, it won't be hard to hammer it out once you get something that will make good contact with it

Well first off I can't believe you never noticed the little tab tha keeps the nut tight, if you can't figure out how to bent it out, then get the axle done by a pro.
If the nut is seized on, then you may have to cut it off with a cut off tool, just be sure you have a replacement nut for the new axle.

When you do get the nut off, and the front end apart and the axle out of the hub, you'll have to wedge a screw driver up in between the axle and the tranny to pop it out, once you do this tranny fluid will leak out, so be prepared.
