Default Auto-X slicks for drag

Has anyone used auto-x slicks for drag. A local guy has some for sale for cheap just seeing if their worth it. They seem that they would be just as effective and the slicks are almost new.

Ask beau.. he used a set of circle track slicks one year, they kinda sucked.. but better than a ------- radial

So would it be worth the investment 70 bucks for the auto-x slicks 22"x8x13. This for my buddy of mine with a n/a dohc zc.
