I didn't race since the z isn't ready and the volvo has bad shocks and a bad cv joint. It wasn't for any points but was still a pretty good turn out. They usually have it at a parking lot at a local minor league baseball stadium but this time they got to use an actual track at the local drag strip that also does some stock car racing too. The track has both 1/4 mile and a small road course/oval track. It looked pretty cool compared to the normal parking lot of cones. They actually used two of the banks and people could get some pretty good speed on it along with some twisties. I hope they have it again this summer cause I'll definitely get the z together for that. Any way I started taking some pics but by the time I got down to the pits to get some upclose shots my batteries were dead. There were two Evo's(1 stock Evo and a MR), a couple stangs, one vette(he's a normal at these), quite abit of s13's and 14 with DET's and front end conversions, a rhd 240z, a stock s2000 and 2 mx3's that could of drove backward and beat alot of the cars there. One thing that pissed me off though were those damn s13's and s14's cause they kept on trying to drift and ---- on the very first bank and I was hoping that they would crash and burn cause most of the guys were ********* who you know 2 years ago didn't even think about those ------- cars. Anyways I'll quit my blabbering and post the pics.

Wow, I wish there was a place around here we could race like that... There is Barber's Motorsport Speedway which is reserved only for bike and Porche use... bastards.

There was a older 3g rex with HX's but jacked up 4x4 style and like 2 ef hatches. Didn't see any of them race though. There were a couple of spots where people got into 3rd gear so it was pretty nice. That vette sounded like sex and the evo's were in stealthmode cause neither of them could be heard. Those damn s13's and s14's had bov's going off left and right and got iritating after the first 2 seconds. The track was pretty big compared to the usual parking lot setups they usually run. It was cool you could watch auto-xing or walk over to the drag strip cause it was the first drag of the season too. Had funny cars and everthing there. You'd be watching the auto-xing and over the hill you'd see a parachute open up since the track is toward the end of the strip. There were some Porsche 944 and 914's too. VW's and some riced out DSM's. All in all it was pretty nice. Next month I can hopefully get the Z out and take it out on it's first auto-x.

I didn't stick around long enough to find out. It was kinda windy out and like only 40 something out. This is the end of april but it's still northern wisconsin. It did fairly well from what I saw. It had a nice carb setup on it and had slicks on it.

I think I'm going to run my car on May 5th and I believe it's the real street drags. The drag track looks pretty decent. When is the next auto-x event?
