My buddy Rick bought one for me for my bday. He told me he was goin to harbor freight and wanted to know if I needed anything while I was there. I mentioned they had auto darkening welding helmets on sale for $50. And being the nice guy he is got it for me. Awww. I havent 'used' it yet, but experimented with the kitchen light and its pretty damn cool. Sure beats the ---- out of holding that gay mask over my face. Can't wait to try the sucker out. Too bad I suck horribly at welding, but im slowly getting slightly less shitty.

i was using one of those last week welding up all my piping, later i put on a dark one and i hated it. I need to get me one of those.

i used an auot darkrning for awhile, it hurt my eyes, the delay is ever so slight but after a long day of welding it will flash oyu, i have since gone back to my standard glass helmet

never bothered me hotsex. The auto darkening really helps you work faster and easier... worth every penny

eh for me, it dont matter, once your used to a reg mask, you go plenty fast.

dont know what it was, but my auto darkening helmet was not cheap... and it was nice, but it hurt my eyes.

if it wasnt cheap you can adjust the delay time that it darkens. i have a cheapo auto darkining...thinking of getting a good one cause its beat.

mines a miller, it is adjustable. but it still hurts, and yes i know how to adjust it, my peepers are just sensitive i guess.
