well it seems good now. oh and the deck im using now is a decent deck. its a pioneer deh-2050 or something like that. it does have rca jacks, but i cant get it out to use them. so once i get it out, ill switch to the other deck and ill put some good rca wires in, and a new antenna so i can get radio. i think this new one is compatible with my xm radio too, so maybe i can hide that also.

oh, and the problem is back. i made sure to check every wire i could find to see if there was anything touching, and there isnt. so i need to get those keys and replace the deck and run real rca wires.

Heh, my ----'s ------- up too. Last Saturday my sub just quit working, but it didn't sound like it blew or anything like that, just completely lost power. I pulled over and looked and my power cap (1.5 Farad 1000W Power Acoustic) was reading 8.3-9.1 V's, then started flashing random numbers and lines... However the amp still had power this whole time.. I got it home and checked everything with the meter without the cap hooked up, the battery, the alternator and the amp are all getting/making sufficient power, but the output on the amp doesn't seem to be working. I'm also using a RCA Converter box because my shitty Xplod head unit doesn't have RCA jacks on the back, but it does have an Ipod hookup? I'm not sure if the RCA Converter box fried out, or if the power cap shorted out the output on my amp.. BTW the amp is a Alpine MRP-450
