what type of chat software are you running. where can i get a copy and how much does it cost.

Try jirc's Jpilot. Search jirc or jpilot on Yahoo and download it. Its a java-based irc client.

Its by far the best I've used, if you need help choosing an IRC server/room to use let me know.
