pointless?

this sounds like another one of those SSAC threads... i have never use the new mac operating system, but it's a mac so lets hate it. lol.. you guys all suck.

i have edited on both platforms, i use extremely large files, and manipulate them with proffesional editing programs. and let me tell you i have never had any problems with my mac. Its paid for itself with the amount of work i do. and my pc sits in the basement collecting dust, because i am super fed up with windows gayness, missing files, weird glitches, preferances that change back. just sheer gayness. ... You can love your pc, but don't post opinions that you have no grounds to have. buy a mac, playwith it, and you will see, alot less bullshit to worry about.

as for the mouse, sick. not to mention with the mouse with one button, ctrl button is the right click. oh and i use my mouse from my pc. lol a logitech pc usb mouse. and mac is 100% compatible with windows networks and files. oh and dual monitor set ups are sick. and i like having DVI out on my laptop a dvd burner airport bluetooth. you name it it's got it. Oh and hasn't stalled on me... ever.

I never use windows i use linux 99% of the time. I even got TE to open in linux using wine.

Apple was kinda forced to package their computers with a single button mouse because microsoft was going to refuse to port over office for OSX. You can buy any two button mouse and use it.

Talking about how config it it virtaly infanite. You can actually edit the config files by hand by going into the command line and typing in "cd /etc" then you can edit any config file you want in the directory.

After all the config apps in your system pref. are just GUIs that edit the files.
you just need a little knowledge in linux/unix file systems.
Unix /Linux is better than windows anyday. Windows is a bloated operating system that attracts spyware and is for people to dumb to figure anything new out.

Yeh it is. I think it would be real nice for tiger.
As far as the iPod, i dont know about the 60GB but i got a 20 GB color and i already have over 5 GB of music on it.
I haven't even begun to put the 22GB of music on my PC on it.
Or put my CD's on it. I should have gotten the 60 cause im not gonna have any space for pics or other games.

c piddy thanx for the screen shot shortcut..didn't know that one

yo trust me the music def. adds up... especially after i went to school for my freshman year. i started with 4 GB now im right around 45 gb of music... trust me apple is def. the right way to go. i have been using them for over 14 years now and have really never had a problem with any of them. i actually still have an original iMac from like 96 i think that still runs great and is still fast for what it is. 233 mHz puts almost all pentium 3's to shame. apple is just the way to go if you want reliability... i have had over 7 friends that were hardcore PC that switched to a mac and will never turn back
