^^^^^ i know its kind of off topic, but how hard was it to get freebsd running on your laptop? seems like it would be a bitch, cuz getting it to run on a desktop is kind of a hassle. i am thinking about putting freebsd on my amd64 laptop.
oh yeah, i havent tried it yet cuz i dont have wireless on my desktops but i notice that kismet is listed in ports. maybe it doesnt like your hardware?

oh yeah, another reason why knoppix-std is perfect for wardriving - it runs from a livecd! if you know you are going to get caught doing something that might be legally questionable you can just eject the cd, destroy it, and reboot into windows. just remember to change your mac address, etc.

learn how to partition a harddrive and then you can run up to 8 i believe os...it's been so long but it depends what the max of your drive is for slave partitions.
I was running winxp, slack and openbsd on my laptop at one time.
check out this boot loader called "gag"
yeah lilo is cool and all but gag is a decent bootloader.
