Anyone like or dislike Supras?
There's a deal in Indy on this 1988 Toyota supra turbo.. targa top and all.. 140,000 miles manual tranny.. asking 1850.. says the interior is perfect.. no rust but a couple dings.. seems like a good deal.. I know they're heavy cars, and have like 230hp and 240 something torque.. Anyone know how they are mechanically? like do they have tranny problems or anything like that.. are the turbos ----?

my friend had one. it was a targa turbo just like the one you saw.
it was ok off the line, but that ct26 turbo just wasnt enough for the i6.
he upped the exhaust to 3" and put and took out the airbox.
and i think he had to convert over to map from maf and up the injectors to run more boost.
but he made me want one soo bad. id definitely rock one. i love the body style too.

. Still pretty cool though, not because its a supra, because its turbo I-6

saw a supra dynoing in oregon one day, around 600WHP and near the end of the third pull i heard "----" and saw he engine take a huge ****.. it was pretty funny, lol
they kept dynoing on the blown HG though
