all the channels say scramble channel... my reciever is supposed to "auto roll" the keys but it didnt work... so you have to manually put in the keys its really easy to figure the stuff out..

www.dssrookie.com is back up anyone interested i would highly recommend to check out that site, also i like my coolsat 5000 reciever it has alot of support.

YUP thats it... NO you cant just plug and play once you get the reciever, you have to upload the latest software which can be found at dssrookie and set up the sat settings but YES if you already have a dish hooked up you can use it.. directv and dish net use the same sats so you should be fine

Ya it's super easy to set up, and I would recommend the viewsat
just because it shows what satellite your aiming at and also shows
the program guide on pretty much every channel.
PS I've had all the pansats and coolsats and they all suck!

if i have direct tv already could i t off the line and use one of these recievers and get all the channels? would the direct tv and the fta work on the same line?

yea i took my box to my grandmas and it worked.. she has directv, your pointing at sat 119 right?

I LOVE my coolsat 5000, why do you think it sucks??
