Poorly balanced rotating assembly in big power situation != running nicely.

i personally think you should go with a b series i read that article with the h22 crx. i think it ran like crap only a 14.1 in the quater and thats was with lsd and a few bolt ons its a waste of money unless you really gonna go big with it

I don't know what their problem was, in that issue ALL of the cars ran crappy times.

JD, how are the B trannys better? They are Known to wipe out 3-4 gearset which cost $300 + labor to replace.

D's just like to break shifter forks, which B's do also. Bisi even stepped back in time to run a 86-89 Teg "CG" tranny this year, a real bastard child of a setup, but it is strong.

Was trying to find how to identify what transmission i have when i found this on google
http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread...ostid=17339326
http://www.bisimoto.com/wst_page10.html

That solves 3 of of the 4 mounts, a transmission, axles, hubs and other bullshit you would have to deal with otherwise. Btw anyone else know a website that shows the different listings of d series trannies?

I've watched endless H-series transmission woes on the few local cars that are even trying. Cable shift insipidness.

Last B-series box I ruined only ground every gear if I wasn't flat on it + speed shifting. After watching D/H series transmissions take a tenth the abuse and not as much whp, I'm biased. I also pick up my oddball 90-91 LS transmissions $50/pop max, I'm up to my seventh spare trans. People want to throw them away.

D's shatter differentials or ---- differential bearings - the shift forks are just a sideline. Do you know anything about D-diff breakage, hmm? :P Atlee went through SEVEN D-gearboxes in under a year for a reason.

I had no idea the CG was even remotely strong - same thing as A-series Accord w/ diff bellhousing and (?) input shaft. Or maybe input shaft was the same.
