It's been my experience with small v8 powered trucks (s-10's, toyota's etc.) that 4-links seem to work the best. Ladder bars, traction bars on leaf springs, stiffened leaf's, 3-links, cantilever's etc. The Jim Duff traction bars are just an add-on to stock leaf springs. Granted they do help eliminate some of the typical leaf spring hop and bounce, but they also have no adjustability as to the pinion angle. Believe it or not, the best traction I was able to get on my 84 x-tended cab s-10 was a 4-link with coil springs and airbags. The same principles apply to v8 rwd cars with only 1 exception (or problem)...there's no weight to the back to aid in keeping the weight trasfered to the rear wheels. Hell, I used to be able to sling the bed of my s-10 around by myself, thus the addition to lead in the rear frame rail to help aid in the problem.

Not much of a choice on s-10's If you don't add something back there all you get is a fantastic smoke show...4-link, tractions bars, or not :P
